Quad Club Champs – Session 1

After the success of last year’s Tri-Club Champs, club champs is returning this year bigger and better!

We are continuing our successful partnership with Knutsford and Wilmslow, and this year Sandbach Sharks join us in our first ‘Quad Club champs’. This collaboration allows us to pool our officials and helpers so that we can put on this Level 4 meet, enabling swimmers to get official times in a friendly relaxed environment and perhaps have a go at events that they may not usually enter. 2 additional sessions have been added to the programme this year providing the opportunity for swimmers to try the distance events.

We retain the spirit of a club champs and Satellites will still compete against Satellites for medals which will be awarded at our presentation evening in the summer.

All sessions are held at Macclesfield and we have kept the price of each race to a minimum (£5.00 distance and £3.50 all others) to encourage swimmers to enter a range of events.

Session 1 was held on Sunday 1 March which was the gruelling 800m freestyle and 13 brave Satellites took up the challenge. Thank you to all the coaches, officials and other volunteers who gave their time to make this happen.

Well done to all who took up this challenge resulting in lots of top 3 overall placings and PB’s.

Unfortunately, the pool will initially only be open to adults. All swimming lessons will continue to be frozen until children are allowed back into the pool." @Swim_England
