Cheshire Championships 2020 – Summary

Satellites sent a strong team of 39 swimmers to the 2020 Cheshire Championships achieving a fantastic 8th place overall.

The strength of our younger swimmers also shone through and Satellites was the most improved club in the 16/under category and achieving 5th place in this category.

There were lots of fast swims leading to 28 medals (22 individual and 6 relay/team), loads of regional qualifying times and a British record!

Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed in the top 8 for their age group based on Fina points (‘ChesCat Awards’):

  • Florence Daw 6th – girls 13 years
  • Martha Ricketts 7th- girls 13 years
  • Sam Prince 6th – boys 15 years
  • Will Martindale 7th – boys 16 years
