Sputniks Round 2 Open for Entries

Satellites are pleased to announce that entries for the Sputniks Round 2 are now live at Swimming Events!

Following a fantastic night of racing which saw many young swimmers competing in their very first race, we are very happy to announce that plans for Round 2 are well underway.

Please note that the date has been changed to Saturday 16th March 2019 (was the 17th) due to the pool being unavailable.

Thank you to all of you who raced, or turned up to cheer and to those that helped run the gala. We appreciate you all! With the next round being on a Saturday at least there won’t be any school to get up for the following morning! 🙂

Also, by popular request we have made a change to the programme of events. We will no longer be running the 200m Indvidual Medley race for the 10/11 year old swimmers. Instead, we have replaced this by a 100m Individual Medley event to make it more accessible for young swimmers.

The individual events at Round 2 are for Butterfly, Backstroke and Individual Medley. The relays for round 2 will be for Freestyle!

Links for online entries and results for each of these will also be added to our Competitions page.

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!

"After careful consideration we have taken the decision to open our pools on the 1st September 2020. ...

Unfortunately, the pool will initially only be open to adults. All swimming lessons will continue to be frozen until children are allowed back into the pool." @Swim_England
